@din9leberry - Great job! I stumbled upon this deal this morning, as our Breville blender gave us a smoky finish last night, and I was just about to post this as my first post ever, lol! Good for you on nabbing your first post; I'll keep searching for my moment too.

For those looking at the 5300 that Sam's Club sells for $349, this is widely considered to be the better unit. More updated, slightly more powerful motor, much less noisy, and the blender jar on this unit does a better job with smoothies. Both come w/the 7 yr warranty.

Hope it lives up to expectations and is a true buy it for life product!

thx dude, think the E320 comes with 7 yr warranty too. I'm just worried that I didnt get the "best" deal, you know, the classic slickdealer mentality. Stick Out Tongue

Vitamix reviewed favorably against Blendtec in practically every review I could find before I bought one, like this one from NY Time / Wirecutter: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...-blendtec/. I've been very happy with mine since I got it, and I use it almost exclusively for smoothies. It comes with a rod to tamp down contents, but I never really need it.

It you didn't know how that works then I can tell you, there is special technic in the procedure, starts with slow then go faster and faster. You can't replicate that with manual operation, also stops at certain time, I think around 50sec. Auto smoothy is the way to go, but hey, its me then.

You know there is a knob that controls the speed, right? You start slow then turn it clockwise to go faster and faster. Mine has the auto functions but come on.

This is a practically a 100% made in the US. The only part of the whole assembly not US made is the motor. They get them from Switzerland or something.

Executed "buy now, think later" strategy. No doubts about Vitamix in general but I haven't followed the models and recent deals. Presumably it's a good deal and 30 days free returns with free shipping gives me time to do research.

Liquid, soft, then frozen. I know we can use the tamper, but never had to with the ninja. It had three blades going up the length of the jar, which seemed to help pull stuff down.

I can't replicate every single time the procedure, there is some fine tune to it. I hardly use manual since my has the auto and why not use it.
