@din9leberry - Great job! I stumbled upon this deal this morning, as our Breville blender gave us a smoky finish last night, and I was just about to post this as my first post ever, lol! Good for you on nabbing your first post; I'll keep searching for my moment too.

For those looking at the 5300 that Sam's Club sells for $349, this is widely considered to be the better unit. More updated, slightly more powerful motor, much less noisy, and the blender jar on this unit does a better job with smoothies. Both come w/the 7 yr warranty.

Hope it lives up to expectations and is a true buy it for life product!

This model doesn't have a tamper, right? Is it a concern?

Liquid, soft, then frozen. I know we can use the tamper, but never had to with the ninja. It had three blades going up the length of the jar, which seemed to help pull stuff down.
Ok, just wanted to double check; I've seen people put the ice on the bottom and then wonder why their blender dies so quickly. I think I'm just used to using the tamper just to get things moving down and then once it gets going for a little bit, it takes care of the rest on its own. Have always ended up with much smoother results than any of the other cheap blenders I've used.

So this and the E320 are basically identical from what I can find, other than the 7500 being a bit quieter and having different cooling airflow.

Considering that the E320 regularly gets down to $300 and includes some otherwise expensive add-ons it may be the better deal to just wait for Costco again.

I will agree there it does make a smoother one, but I wasn't really get big chunks or anything with the ninja, so not really that big of a difference. In any event I'm stuck with it, and it might be better at other tasks. It'll probably last longer than the ninja so there's that too, but man it was such a disappointment to not get what I was expecting lol.

Our ninja was on its last legs a couple weeks ago so purchased a blendtec and have been sorely disappointed. I know Vitamix is not Blendtec but they both receive rave reviews and both are known to be higher end. We make smoothies all the time and I just don't think the blendtec is cut out for it, perhaps this one is as you mentioned better smoothies, but honestly wish I would have just stuck with another cheap ninja.

Many years ago (think a decade), I was in the same position of spend a little bit more for a vitamix or get a blendtec. I ended up getting the Blendtec and used it a total of about 90 times for smoothies, etc. I know this because there's a counter on it. The no tamper is a real big problem on Blendtec, no matter what they say about their jars and blade technology.

A couple years ago, I bought the V1200 from Costco and used it at least 100 times in the first year just on smoothies alone. The tamper is so clutch, especially when you start to pack in the jar.

I would return the Blendtec if at all possible, and get literally any model of the Vitamix instead. I just happened to get the V1200 because at the time, I thought I'd use the app for everything, but that sentiment quickly waned when I realized I can just throw in all my smoothie ingredients, set the dial on max, and tamp away.

We actually have a tamper, its just something I never had to do with the ninja so it was such a disappointment. We just filled it hit smoothie and walked away. Either way I'm stuck with it so ill just have suck it up and use the tamper.

Is the low profile container really as bad as some of the reviews are saying on their website? This would mostly be for personal use so I likely wouldn't be filling it to the brim every time, but I'd definitely be using more than 20oz of ingredients.

I have the E320 sitting my SD deal alerts. No idea when Costco will bring back their deal. They add a couple of cups

well but isint the normal one also 64oz? so it holds the same so how could you fill it up more than the normal one? 🤔 i imagine it would just be wider?

i see the wider jar makes it more difficult for the tamper to reach the sides

Apparently if you don't use at least 3.5 to 4 cups of ingredients the blending results are sub-par. This is quoted directly from a reply by Vitamix on a 1 star review. I'm just wondering how real people feel about this limitation and if it's actually as bad as some reviewers claim.

I got 5200 from Amazon deal a month ago. E310 and 5200 were the only models I waited as I needed the narrow container for small batches. I had sky high expectation to 5200 but was disappointed at the tamper. First the tamper is bulky to store. Second I had to use it for sick smoothies. Finally, it's so bulky that it's difficult to push down stuffs at corners or stick on the container walls. Am I the only person who doesn't know how to use a tamper?

Now I have to pull out two equipments (and clean afterwards) for a sick smoothie; a tamper and a jar scraper.

In addition, 5200 doesn't self clean well. It doesn't splash water to the top and thus cannot self wash the lid, leftover food stick to the upper part of the container.
