This is a great set at a decent price tag.

Have seen at lower price point before. If you need the set for your project now, the price is really decent for this great set.

regretting not buying this at Lowes when it was $199 a few months ago. might bite on this, but am cross-comparing with the M12 fuel impact driver x hammer drill combo that is ~138 with the hack. i'm a hobbyist / DIYer so i feel like no matter what i'll be happy.

I have the M12 fuel set you're looking at and I'm waiting for a good deal on the XR. The M12 is actually plenty powerful for DIY/woodworking, but if you're doing larger remodels the batteries run down quick and you don't have quite as much power, so things just take a tad longer. I haven't run into much where the M12 wasn't powerful enough to finish though.

Edit: I did have some trouble with the M12 drilling a 1/2" by 8" deep hole with an auger bit in pine... but that's a bit more extreme for a DIY and I still completed it eventually with some WD-40 LMAO

For what's it's worth, I tried that hack and they cancelled my entire order.
