It's been within $10 of this price on and off again since last May. 14 months ago this was a stellar price. Now, it's just ok.

Same laptop with 5500u goes on sale for $624 twice already. This isn't a deal.

Can you point me to a better deal with active stylus capability?

This is a better processor than ANY intel laptop for sale on this website, right now. If you can live within 256MB, it's a decent price on a decent machine. But, spend the extra $100 and get upgraded to 512GB of flash and 8 cores, not 6:

#1 best seller on NewEgg, $699

Without getting too far in the weeds, the newegg deal trades $100 for the larger SSD and foregoes the stylus pen. IMO the stylus pen is a must on the 2-in-1.

They're comparable deals. Then there's the issue of screen size and weight. I would go with the 14" any day for a school laptop. Just my opinion after trawling these 2-in-1 laptops the last 3 months.

I have this computer, got it from Amazon last year for about this price. It is a good machine. It's not built like a rock but its decent and it has great performance. I do want to say, though, this model is sold more expensively at other retailers.

tl;dr I had to replace a broken key. I found this exact model comes with 3-4 different available keyboard SKUs and hinge types. I couldn't find the hinge type for mine anywhere, so I finally had to purchase a whole keyboard/trackpad assembly on eBay that was for this model, but a different SKU (Lenovo would not send me a key cap, they wanted $260 to replace the whole keyboard). The replacement SKU, while still Lenovo OEM, was of significantly higher quality than the original on my Amazon laptop - it's sturdier, the keys are more tactile, the hinges are made with metal. I have concerns that the SKU sold on Amazon is the same model, but made of lower quality components, though it's also totally possible that what you get is random.

Hmm I wonder if the world has changed? It used to be that people would "part out" keyboards and you could get a keycap for just about any lenovo keyboard and remember that in an 88-key keyboard there were only about 6 unique keys (return; shift keys; space bar, maybe some arrow keys), and the rest were all standard and interchangeable so you didn't have to find an exact match for the missing key - a different key with an avery label on top would work just fine.

Purchased one of these last year at the start of the lockdown for 599$. Great Machine for the price at the time. No SMT, but 6 cores are plenty for most basic stuff

The only real downsides to the device are:
No windows hello
the pen holder uses a standard-sized USB port
