I really enjoyed it, finished the game and did more collectables and horde stuff. The story isn't what you'll expect and does some good turns a few chapters in. With that being said the first act is very slow, it seems like a lot of fetch quests and whatnot.

Extremely repetitive. You clear one ambush camp, then you clear twenty more. You clear one NERO site, then you clear twenty more. You do a fetch quest, then you do twenty more. There is a built in MMORPG style rep grind with every single faction, gated heavily by game progression that defeats the point of having a rep system.

The motorcycle "customization" is a complete chore and you will spend a great portion of the first part of the game driving 15mph. Even at its highest speed, the bike still feels incredibly slow. The fuel system also makes fast travel more tedious-- to get from A to B, you have to fast travel to C, and D, which are empty except for the gas can you use to refuel the bike for the next fast travel jump.

The plot is ridiculous. More unrealistic than the zombie apocalypse is the idea that a 9-10 hot slampiece with a PhD. in biochemistry and a job which requires a security clearance would ever seriously consider dating a guy from a biker gang. This biker gang, which seems to have been involved in criminal activities, drug trafficking, and possibly murder, suddenly becomes a noble endeavor. Tatted up bikers are not exactly known for their charitable contributions to the world.

The main villain is a frat bro, because, well, because the game developers have a deep-rooted inferiority complex and need to create some theoretical chad to lash out at (since they cannot stand up to an actual person in real life). So, it is farcical nonsense.

The only worthwhile part of this game is the horde fights. Those alone make it worth $10. But it is certainly not worth $25 or more, which it will definitely sell for at some point very soon.

I love these TLDR posts in which NO ONE asks you for a game review in the first place. Buy the game and play it and if you don't like it then that's also ok. Can't afford the game at the sale price then grind harder in life so you have more disposable income. The game is great for me and I play on the PS5 and the PC. I prefer the PC due to the KB setup. Otherwise the free version from PSN is worth your while if you like playing on a controller.

The game is quite slow first 10 hours or so. Does pick up afterwards.
Gahh I quit after half an hour. Didn't know anything about the game at all but it felt like a total snooze fest. I'll check it out again, thanks.

So then don't buy it? I never understood why people feel the need to put down stuff other people enjoy. You must be fun at parties. Also, where is it "always" dropping to $20? I haven't seen it drop below $34 on SD or ITAD.
I am fun at parties. I dont try to convince people to play awful generic games. If you enjoy this game you are the definition of milquetoast.
