The average male in the U.S. is 5'9" and 200 lbs. The average female is 5'3.5" and 170 lbs. 43% of Americans as of 2019 are obese according to the CDC.
Bought this chair from Costco last year for $40. It's for adult, very comfortable, and at $40, it's a great value
Based on the sizing of most of the clothes at Costco, I'd say yes.
edit: One of the reviewers suggested the chair is too small and it's for teenaged sized people or small females. He also claimed he's 5' 10" and 210 pounds. Unless this person is a body builder, he's technically obese. Yet, he thinks he's the normal one and the chair is for small people. I never thought obesity would become normalized for adults in this country.

Anyone order has been shipped?
Not real happy about the size,I will probably return the unopened one. Here's a comparison pic of my other chair, usable but the "head rest" in the middle of my back is annoying.
It's too damn funny reading the comments on here trying to find excuses for being 200-300 pounds. There is no way that the average Costcoer has 50-100 pounds of muscle. Only in America do overweight people get upset about being called overweight.
They are beautiful just the way they are. **sarcasm** Easy money for a new market
I blame the rise in fast food industry, restaurants drenching dishes in butter to add "flavor", and lack of walkable cities. The problems the US faces are happening in developing countries that are adopting our suburban model of no walking and junk food galore. Look at old photos of densely built classic American cities where the sidewalks were filled with people, many of them being not overweight, walking to local small businesses and family run restaurants/diners and compare it to modern day American "cities" that are more like glorified suburbs with a small business district in the middle with barely any pedestrians. Most people work at least 40 hours a week and living in today's world makes it incredibly difficult for many to keep their weight down.
It is an American phenomena that if you re label unhealthy food you can make it healthy again.
wow just got this chair. It is tiny - this is definitey a child's chair. I am only 5'7 and I feel oversized in it. Not to mention it is just not comfortable at all. This is a $30 walmart special, not an $80 costco chair that was marked down. Shame on them for selling such crap
I have owned at least 3 variations of the this chair. This chair appears to have all the needed features without the fluff. I'm 6'2" 180, down from over 200. I have paid $130+ for past variations of this chair. And yes, easy to assemble. This deal won't last. Click fast and return to store, if it's not for you.
Congrats on the weight loss, but was that really important to share?

Yes, definitely on the smaller side but it's hard to complain for $40.. unless perhaps you were planning to use this as an adult chair on a regular basis.... but in that case one should spend a lot more $$$.
WORST chair in the HISTORY of TIME. Pathetic from Costco to sell this.
It's NOT worth $40. Hell, it's not even worth $10. Spend a little extra and get a good one.
There are sometimes deals on Staples/OD chairs for less than $100.

Seems comfortable and it's fine for my height, but would definitely not recommend for taller folks.
