Typically, the 15ga is used for outside work where larger holes are not a real issue, but this 16ga will work fine for most applications that a 15ga is used for. As well, the 16ga, 18ga and Pin nailers are all straight, while the larger 15ga is angled like framing nailers are.
Personally, I like the angled and wish they were all that way. Nevertheless, the 15ga is considerably more expensive than this deal and not as versatile for the average homeowner and DIYer.
PS: Gone, I did not think this deal would last very long....
Mine came today by FedEx and was shipped in the manufacturers cardboard carton. The gun itself was inside a hard case so no big deal but the hard case didn't have a zip tie or seal.
Gun looks new so I'm not going to complain but I've bought dozens of Makita tools that came in hard cases and every single one had a zip tie for a seal

Same here. Manuf. box was pretty destroyed, but thankfully these come with the hard case. No zip tie here either but the gun looks brand new. I have yet to test it out.

Any kind. Just gotta make sure you have the correct male/female connectors to connect them securely.
