I have had this tool for 4 years and holding up great after pretty heavy use. To start, this is not for professional use. It's for regular DIY work around the house. But that doesn't mean it can't handle pretty heavy work. I've used all the attachments and also bought a reciprocating saw attachment. The one I use least is the sander attachment. One drawback; the oscillating tool uses plunger type of blades and even regular B&D compatible blades don't fit it. Have to find them online so no luck if you suddenly needed to grab something for work. Also, the battery charger is pretty slow compared to new standards. Other than those, I love this set.

Wish they were all different units so someone could use another tool while I prep.

The price is very good according to ccc. I don't have this but review looks very good with 83% of 5 star and only 1% of 1 star.

Seconding the above. I use it all the time and it works great. That said, the saw isn't great but it's useful for quick short cuts. The sander is pretty sub par. But if you just need then to be light and easy to use it works out well for simple and quick diy.

I bought individual pieces several years ago when they were on sale for like 18 bucks each. I regret not buying all attachments at that time. But I still use it semi frequently. I'd say it's a solid setup for a house me owner.

I have used the cicular saw to trim viynl floor planks for a house. Jig saw for shaped cuts. I used the impact to take down a play structure and for automotive (no it will not do lug nuts). I want to get the rest of the other attachments ever go on sale.

I bought this a few months ago at a similar price. I was skeptical, since Black and Deckers is more of a hobbyist-level brand, but it had three tools I needed, so I gave it a shot. I have used it hard almost daily for around five months with no issues. It isn't a powerhouse, but the price for how much use I get from it is impressive and it has enough power for 99.5% of the tasks I need it for. I have a second battery, which is a good idea. I also bought the add-on mini circular saw attachment, which has been able to do what I need, but not well.

Overall, I love it. The modular system is relatively well-built, it has already paid for itself, and I'll gladly buy another one once I destroy the one I have.

I've had my matrix for about 2 years now. I scored the drill it self for 25 bucks on Facebook and have bought only the impact attachment.

For the record, the attachments for this and the Craftsman bolt on system are the same.

I'm imagining using this kit to build a deck or something and having to switch the heads out every single time you want to make a cut, then pre-drill a hole and then drive the screw. At least you'll get lots of breaks when the battery dies and you're waiting for it to recharge.

You can get the M12 Fuel Hex Impact Driver and M12 Fuel Drill Driver for $138 after the Hack GoogleTool Boss. I have both of the M12 tools. Very compact and poweful. I have the B & D tool as well but not all the attachments. My wife bought it. I prefer Dewalt XR, Atomic, or Xtreme DeWalt Brushless power tools. Don't always go cheap on tools (quality). You can get high quality tools at a fractionof the cost with a slickdeal.

No, but I've seen on YouTube modifications. They sell adapters on amazon to fit different batteries systems.

Is this the normal price? Or has it been lower?

Black and decker fooled me once. Didn't get a year out of my first set of drills before the batteries were shot. My ryobis have been beat to hell and run strong almost 10 years. Never getting my money again.
