yes i have done many hacks in the past, it is not altering the prices in the cart or checkout.
i wonder if its region specific

You can still get the Packout light but you have to go in store or wait until Home Depot has it online again.

Deal looks to be working again online. Just went back to my cart after waiting 20 or so mins and the hack was working. When I originally tried, the total was $338 or so, went back in my cart and it was showing $117 for the light and $81 for the battery. Might be worth trying again if you couldn't get it to work the first time.

I don't currently have any M18 but want to get into it. I know the light is big but thoughts on the Packout light and KEEP the battery? Or is that generally not a good way to go.

I just was able to order it online. Ordered the battery for in-store pickup and the packout shipped to my home. Came out to the price as in the OP.

You would still need a charger. These deals come a lot with the hack and free battery promos through Milwaukee's site. I've found it's best to look for a deal with a charger/battery and tool you need. Then look for these types of battery return hacks to get tools you need. I've still wound up with several spare batteries by accident.
