Best I can tell, you are referring to last year's model. CX is 2020 and C1 is 2021. Which to some is a significant difference. 55 in CX is 1349 and 55 in C1 is 1499 at Costco.

The C1 may be an upgrade, but a CX 55" is still the better choice over the smaller 49" C1 for a TV

I think this is getting downvotes because of that very fact. People are fetching the 55" tvs for slightly more. If these were like in the $800-$900 range I bet it would sell better.

Now if only that 77" could be had for close to $2k. Frown

CX vs C1, the $100 promo isn't applicable to Netflix, 48" is better for those using it as a monitor, and the AllState warranty only covers panels with 8+ dead pixels and doesn't cover burn-in, and mine has free 2 day shipping.

microcenter has the same $1299 price for C1 and the warranty protection is $249 for 3 years and does cover OLED burn-in

I really like this model but have a couple questions. I was wanting to use it mainly as a TV but also as a monitor . Guy at MC store today said burn in would be more likely after using it as a desktop monitor. Is this true?

Also does bestbuy geeksquad warranty (which I assume is what you are referring to and also apparently covers burn in) last for 3 or 5 years?

Best Buy's warranty is for two or five years. And yes, it covers BI.

And unless they've recently changed the policy, Microcenter's warranty doesn't cover BI

MC said it did cover BI but couldn't provide it in writing so I passed.

I've heard the same thing from others. Someone else said they got it in writing, but they never posted a picture of it. On MC's forum it says the warranty doesn't cover BI. So leaving it up to a rep for approval or denial is too much of a risk for me
