This is great if you have a ton of Nest smoke detectors. They last a long time though so I don't need it.

Energizer, and I believe Duracell as well, have a leak guarantee program where they'll reimburse you if their alkalines leak. Also, white vinegar on a q-tip does wonders for cleaning alkaline leaks.
Interesting tip, I only use Eneloops because of the frequent alkaline leaks.

With high demand for batteries, there is only one reason they ever go on sale... they're heading towards expiration.
20 year shelf. Unless they made these 2 decades ago it should be fine

These truly haven't leaked, since moving to Texas a decade ago haven't found a single alkaline except for 9 volts that have not leaked. Lost remotes, mice and almost a front door lock. These are the only batteries I use now because of the others leaking so much
Which makes me wonder why 9 V alkaline batteries don't seem to ever leak? But all the other ones do?

Honestly I think they are sealed better. I can reach out to the battery companies to get a replacement but I'm more worried about the damaged equipment, no amount of cleaning can fix a corroded connector.

The reason is that the 6 AAAA cells are wrapped together in heat-shrink tubing under the exterior armour.

We got 2 packs of these from Amazon last year - they are garbage batteries. Didn't hold a charge AT ALL. I assume that's why they are 70% off.

BTW, Amazon wouldn't let me return them since I didn't use them to find out they didn't work within their return window.
That's why I never buy them from Amazon or Ebay. I think a lot they sell are fake. These are all I use in my trail camera. Normally, buy them at Target. Last a lot longer than alkaline batteries.

Anyone that went and got these where were they located? Were they in a clearance section or with the other batteries?
I got 3 packs at my local target. They were not in the tech section but at the checkout section where there were a lot of other batteries

All depends on what you put them in. My trail camera takes 8 of them and I get at least a couple weeks out of them. If you put one in a digital clock it might last years.

"in store" means I would actually have to interact with people.

Don't waste your time. I did at 4 different stores. You won't find these. This thread should be closed.
Checked my local store, which Brickseek said were in stock (even while I was there), but I couldn't find any, and an associate said they didn't have any. Beware.
