23 reviews on item (EDIT: Product page has numerous items on it, so many reviews are not even for this item...)
Sold & shipped by: MARIETTA INC
19 lifetime seller feedback

New SD Affiliate?
Usual Amazon 3rd party seller standards for SD are 50 item reviews and minimum 1000 lifetime seller feedback, this seems like we are the guinea pig for this seller and item

Edit:
Poked around a bit and found this same item is being sold by Ainfox as "Ainfoxus Evaporative Air"
so looks like new name/seller for an old/ongoing SD Affiliate partner. Sketch.
Identical Product Photos:
https://ainfox.com/products/ainfo...te-control

Checked on the product and OP claim that this is ETL listed and can't find it.
Searched https://ramuk.intertekconnect.com/WebClients/ITS/DLP/products.nsf/$$Search?OpenForm for "Wesfital" and got zero results.
There are a few products by Ainfox that are listed, but I don't see any evaporative coolers.
Maybe they are trying to play semantic games by saying "ETL-certified material" ...so they purchased electric plug from 3rd party who is actually ETL listed ;P

Anyone have experience with this or similar items? Not looking for much, but if this can lower the temp of a small room by a few degrees that would be great

These are really only good for dry climates. If you try to use this in a humid climate it won't do anything except really raise your humidity.

Works well in a DRY environment (think Arizona) but not in a humid area like NC, SC, GA, FL, LA, AL, etc....don't even bother as it will make thinks feel worse but increasing the RH%.

And when you peek at those item reviews, the photos feature a DIFFERENT tower fan without evaporative function.

When you say it works well? How many degrees can you cool a room to?

That depends entirely on the relative humidity (plus a few other factors). Honestly I am not even sure this will lower the temp of an entire room, more designed to make a single area more comfortable.

"Fan has oscillating head for greater coverage"
This has a very wide opening, but it seems to have lots of uses?

Evaporating coolers won't do anything for your room, they drip water, need constant attention, do not buy these things, either buy a real AC unit or a $15 desk fan

Pretty common scam TBH. Sell one product, get some reviews, then swap the product / price without creating a new product. This is the way it is done on Amazon all day long for gaming the system for reviews.

this one sounds different than other evaporative coolers that I have seen or used, it has a spot to put ice cubes. I wonder how well that works, seems like it could help even in humid environments.

for the people saying it won't work in humid environments, have you ever used one like this that you add ice cubes to?

there is no way this is normally $259 lol, its basically a fan with a few ice cube/water trays.

Since this is a 3rd party seller it only has a 30 day return window, but it can be returned to any walmart store. I might take a chance and buy one to try it out, if it doesn't work very well, it will be an easy return for me.

Yea, in the NE here and I keep seeing these "evaporative" coolers. Even some marketed as AC. Ummm... Anyone else read the description and notice they are a fancy fan with a spray bottle?

Not only ineffective, bit counterintuitive for people in humid climates because you're likely using resources to dehumidify your house to avoid mold and other complications of high humidity.

Am I missing something?

And honestly who is living in Arizona without air conditioning?
