Thanks. This is my go to. Even the Russians are going to follow me around and get all my stuff no. Luckily, I have no stuff. I'm assuming I can put this in, and it will activate when my existing Kaspersky total sec expires? Or should I just wait till I'm close to expiration (6 months away) and put it in then? Thanks

Before buying this (or most other anti-virus programs) you should know that it transforms into a virus itself after the license expires. You will be spammed with notices that you aren't protected, that your computer and data are about to explode or be stolen, and that unless you renew, everything you love in this world will wither and die. I exaggerate, but I had this a few years ago and literally got a pop up ad at least once a week and every time I restarted. Windows Defender has made this mostly irrelevant and obsolete and I haven't gotten any of the bad stuff Kaspersky threatened me with. Sure, if you need an anti-virus software solution, maybe it will be ok, but IMO it's not worth it.

Antivirus has become the attack vector, I wish Microsoft would offer a solution to remove all antivirus.

IMO Kaspersky is a topnotch antivirus, no doubt about this but as previous post mentioned "Windows Defender has made this mostly irrelevant and obsolete"

Defender only protects Edge browser, updates maybe every day or two, weak on rootkits and other malwareEven the free versions of Kaspersky, BitdefenderorAvast are way better protection than defender

I just went through this process with the same 6/22/21 SD on Kaspersky. You can simply take the activation code you'll receive from Newegg and apply it right away. Your current license withh be "active" for the next six months and below that you will see the new license, it will say the following...
"After the license expires, the application activates automatircally with this activation code."

So, you will have a 6, then 12 month license running consecutively for 18 months total coverage.

Attention: you don't need antivirus software. Like 99% of it is a scam and can't detect 0 days which are most likely to affect you if a virus does.
