Didn't MS just change the requirement to need live for playing multiplayer? I never use the ultimate games because of sd I have a backlog of physical games

I have ultimate for 3 years already and since they are phasing out live, would it be smart to just get 3 of these right now and save the images of the code for 3 years until I need them to upgrade to ultimate

That's what I'm thinking of. Just afraid of the codes expiring or being resold.

My XBL/Gamepass expired already can I still buy this and do the conversion for 1$? I already did that a year ago. I thought that is only 1 time?

For people who really get a lot of use from gamepass these are still solid deals. But, just as a reminder, XBL Gold won't be required soon to play FTP games so if this is just fueling a Fortnite/Apex/RL multiplayer box there's not much need for these.
