Bought this a couple weeks ago, look at the pictures. Right on the blades and packaging is says made in Italy.

I have a 10" table saw...old Craftsman 113 model. Does anyone know of I put this 6" dado stack on it, how deep a groove a could cut?

Not sure if the 113 can hold a dado but rule of thumb is the depth of cut you can make with your 10" blade minus 2" is what a 6" dado will cut on your saw.

Crank your table saw arbor up as far as it goes, measure from the center of the arbor to the top of the table, subtract that number from 3 and you'll know how deep a groove it will make. My guess is that a 6" dado will make a deep enough groove for just about anything.

If your 10" blade can make a 3" deep cut then a 6" blade will be able to make a 1" deep cut.

I would not get a 6" stack for a 10" saw. I use an 8" stack and it cuts like butter.

Make sure it is 5/8" and measure the spindle length leaving a couple of threads for the attachment nut and go from there for how many blades you can stack. The minimum you have to have is inside, outside and one center chipper.

For how deep, raise the arbor all the way to top and measure from the center of the spindle to the top of the table that the wood slides on. Everything less than the 6 inch diameter of this dado set is half the maximum cut. As an example, if it were 4 inches from the center of the spindle to the top of the table, that is 6 minus 4 that is 2 inches divided by 2 as half the diameter of the dado set for a 1" inch maximum depth of cut. If 3 inches, you will have 1.5 inch maximum cut, etc.

PS: Working and getting ready for an appointment, I cannot wrap my mind around if the center or top of spindle, but you will be within 5/16" of maximum.

More teeth by larger circumference at same rpm, I would agree.... the number of teeth are very relevant. Just more money.... Smilie

I use the DeWalt 8" set on my Ridgid 4512. I love it. Freud is good but they have 2 lines. The lower line is mediocre at best.
