Given that gender is a social construct, I doubt that a DNA test will pick up on that

Just so you know, most of these firms send your DNA sample to China for analysis. Conspiracies aside, you are sharing your dna with the ccp.

Is Ancestry one of them? I mean I don't know about Ancestry, but 23andMe years ago you can sign up with a complete burner email address and made up name for your test results, so I do recommend ppl to do that.

But then for ancestry, I guess you'd want to put real name to get more accurate info, so yeah, not good I guess. Gattaca is one of my fav films of all time but the message/theme is scary so yeah, I dunno about this deal.

Or become an unwitting snitch on your uncle who is a serial killer.

Why you gotta do Larry like that?

Evidence? My admittedly brief research shows a concerning history of the company but it seems that it's dna tests are done by quest diagnostics at several sites across the US. What they do with the data after that is anyone's guess... Being owned by venture capital forms and having an ex-Facebook CEO, probably nothing good...

Can keep living in fear, or can finally figure out why are you red-haired, just like the postman that used to deliver your parents' mail.

At $50, I doubt you can maintain an expectation of privacy.

Not technically a warrant canary with signage so not really reliable but it's something.

This is the same price as Family Tree DNA, and they let you export your data. Ancestry does not. https://www.familytreedna.com

If your question is genuine, yes, they have processes to help protect the privacy of transgender people.
