I just returned an open box excellent the other day which should've been an OB fair at best (no box, no stands, no remote). Found out it was a display model with over 8000 hours of screen on time (never turned off in almost a year). TV is amazing and this is a good deal, but I couldn't justify an OLED with that much usage. So if you go the open box route, make sure to check the usage hours.

The only thing missing from this TV is HDMI 2.1, but if you want an OLED with excellent picture quality then you're in the right place.

Only wanting a 55" OLED for gaming right now.
No 2.1 is a dealbreaker

I ordered an excellent condition open box last week online and I got pretty lucky. It came in the original box with all original paperwork, manual, stands, etc. Aside from a scratch on the remote, the TV looked perfect.

I checked the hours and it was 70 with a cycle count of 10. I did notice the cycle count doesn't change unless you unplug the power or restart the unit from the menus. That's probably because the TV goes to sleep for quick power on/off.

Sounds like someone used it to watch the Olympics and then returned it

Bravia is just a brand. Sony's OLEDs use panels from LG, but with Sony's own video processing. The general consensus is for movies/video Sony is a little better, for gaming LG is much better.
