Thanks to Deal Editor SlickDealio and community member spunyun [discuss] for finding this deal.
Walmart offers select Qualifying Pedigree Dog Food for this program. Select free store pickup where available, otherwise shipping is free with Walmart+ (free 15-day trial) or on orders of $35 or more.
Qualifying Product Examples (must buy a Quantity of 2 - can mix or match):
Purchase two 15-lb. or larger bags of Pedigree dog food
Digitally submit your receipts for the adoption fees and dog food between 7/1/21 and 10/31/21.
Check your email for information on how to redeem your rebate and enjoy a lifetime of loyalty from your new pet. Rebate will be provided in the form of a check or Paypal payment. If your rescue dog's adoption fee was less than $200, Pedigree will pay whatever you spent. If your adoption fee was more than that, your rebate will be $200.
So people are going to go through the trouble of adopting a dog, just to break even on the adoption fee? Huh? It's not like you're getting paid to adopt the dog. You're still out the initial food costs.
Also, Pedigree is horrible dog food: check the ingredients list; mostly grains/corn/fillers; for example, on the healthy weight food, the number one ingredient is corn, followed by by-product meal, followed by tons of other grains including wheat, corn gluten meal, beet pulp, soybean meal, "natural flavor" (anything but natural), rice, salt, calcium, and a bunch of other fillers, additives and colors... Good God. Anyone who feeds their dog this shit doesn't deserve to have a dog (and will be rewarded with soft poop and diarrhea aplenty). Buy the two bags to get the fee reimbursed, then either return the bags or chuck them away and buy dog food with natural products and without a bunch of fillers and additives (personally, I love Blue Buffalo and have used it for 15+ years).

Good, but I can see negatives from this offer too. One must wonder how many irresponsible people will adopt a dog just so they can collect the free dog and then either mistreat it and/or give it away?
