I know there have been many takes on this on previous threads, but here's one more….

It is gritty. The 3HP Vitaprep 3 could not smooth it into a smoothie, no matter how much we tried. Finally decided to try adding a serving of it to the steel cut oats that soaked overnight in the Zojirushi before auto cooking at 0600, figured if that works for steel cut oats it should soften up to make hemp protein grits. Nope.

We really tried to like it but wound up passing on the 7 remaining tubs to someone who might be willing to make the compromise this demands. Cheers to you if that describes you!

Forget about using this as your primary protein source in a smoothie. It's a waste of time trying to get down 4 tablespoons. I simply use it as a way to add fiber and the accompanying modest amount of protein is just a bonus. I mix it with bananas, peanut butter, chocolate protein powder etc and don't even notice it in the mix under than seeing the specs.

I got this last time aeound, if you have tried dried hemp seeds (in some cultures people snack on them), that's exactly what they taste, they are not gross, you might just not have the taste for it, maybe that's most people. If you mix it with your food it's excellent
