Keep in mind that these have zero arch support so if you're under-pronated, these probably are not the shoes for you. Basically, if you suffer from shin splints, plantar fasciitis, or get tired ankles from running, you most likely have under-pronation and need high arches so steer clear of these shoes.

To save others a google search:

Underpronation = supination

Individuals with underpronation have ankles extending out past their feet. Normal would be directly over your feet, and pronation would be ankle placement inside normal.

I usually use Nike Pegasus Size 10. Looking for something cheaper. Would this be similar in size, support, etc. I realize the quality might be somewhat lower.

From Googling:
Flat feet - pronates - can have pain in: arch, heel, achilles, shin splints - want a shoe with stability (eg Kayano) with low supportive arches, deep heel cup, big toe box

High arch - supinates - puts pressure on: ball, heel (don't have the flattening of arch to reduce impact). Can also have pressure on top of foot (shoe can't accomodate high arch) - want a shoe with shock absorption (eg Nimbus)

FYI, the wide (4E) version of the Contend is available in a few sizes for $26.40 after the coupon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/114710879690

I have high arches and plan to compare it to a Nimbus 23 that I just bought from the Asics website for $90 (used a 40% off code for health care workers).

These were fine for sitting and walking at work only for me. I used other Asics with the plastic bar under the arch fine for few miles jog or walks better.
