- While a GSM carrier using T-Mobile's network, you cannot simply activate any GSM unlocked phone. Your phone(s) must be on their approved list. You cannot work around this by activating on an approved phone and SIM-swapping to an otherwise technically compatible phone - you will have no service until you switch back to the phone you activated.

In times of network congestion, networks slow down (deprioritize) prepaid users to varying extents. Verizon is considered the worst at this practice, and AT&T the best.

and I see no mention at all of prepaid plans (for me this was strange b/c I always assumed Boost was ONLY prepaid)
On stack social it is much more vague as to what you get with prepaid roaming, only saying:

Unless things have changed in the last 2 years (when I joined Republic Wireless), very very few prepaid carriers offer domestic roaming. It's kind of a big deal when you go out of town and you can't make/accept calls nor text nor access voicemail. Prior to Republic Wireless when I traveled to Kentucky (frequently) and was using Page Plus, outside of Bowling Green or Louisville or Lexington my non-roaming Page Plus service (which was on the Verizon network) was useless. Meanwhile my business phone (directly with Verizon ) worked great anywhere.
