FYI, these 3 models are all brand new inventory that had to be opened to convert to US powercord. These were originally built for EU market, but are being sold in US. (Great deal on a good monitor that is actually new) - Unlike the last open box sale, these 3 are actually just converted stock and not returns of any sort.
Could someone with more monitor knowledge explain the differences between the (2) 27" 4K ones listed here? Is the sRGB just more color accurate? Is there something else I'm missing / would lose out on if I go for the cheaper of the two. I would be using it as a secondary monitor not my main
That is entirely up to you, but you are getting this information from the Business Unit Manager @ Monoprice for gaming and display.
Our system has a standard lock for open box units regardless of how they were processed. We priced them appropriately due to the limited warranty we have to offer.
Proof? they should really be factory refurb with full warranty
Source, I work in this category. We could have gone that route and done factory refurb, but just was a system limitation, and we decided this route. Pricing reflects it, amazing deals.
In past sales on here, there was a blend of actual open-box inventory, which made it difficult to make this claim, but the units in question during this sale are all re-worked EU products.

Vivid sold out while checking out. How's the other 27 compare to it? Is it a great deal? Haven't looked at monitors since I bought my ultrawide. Just want another portrait mode monitor on the side
I'm not buying the "these are brand new" comments posted here sans proof. I'm not touching a product β new or refurbished or whatever else β that comes with just a 90 day limited warranty.

Any more stock coming in? Vivid sold out while checking out
I really want this but do not have headphones that NEED it lol. I have a monitor which powers everything just fine. A good Ultra Slim 4K 60Hz IPS is the next purchase, but this is such a good deal.
question:
If I can get a "Dell 27 Monitor - S2721DS" brand new for the same price as the "Monoprice Vivid Monitor - 27 inch, 4K UHD"
For home office use in dual monitors.
Which one would you choose?
Probably depends on if I needed 4k or the better warranty. Where can you get this kind of a deal on the Dell? I only need QHD, so I have been looking for a good deal like that.
