This tv DOES NOT have HDMI 2.1. I have this tv and uts got a really good picture for the price and low input lag. Vizio has the hdmi mode listed as 2.1 but it is 100% NOT an HDMI 2.1 tv.
I have a vizio smart tv and the menu input lag is unbelievable and sometimes when i stream the vizio home screen overlay won't disappear and i have to restart the tv.
From my experience, i would never purchase another vizio.

This is a pretty YMMV deal depending on what your final price is. There's a few ways you can work it lower. WalMart has the TV for $313.99 which is a great price on it's own. I ended up calling Target to place an order and price match. Tax free weekend in MA (I live in RI) so I'm picking up there and saving like $22 in taxes.. Combined with Target RedCard 5% off and gift cards I had leftover from the Qtips deal last week the TV is coming our to about $260 for me.
If you plan to price match to Target - do not chat with them. I tried 4 times last night and was denied each time. One phone call is all it took and they were very helpful. The chat reps are not helpful for price match.
which is better?
this or the 55" Scepter for $240 (also Walmart)?

All the TVs have inflated by at least 50% during the last year. A Walmart 32" ONN brand was ~$109 in 2020 is not retailing for $178. Their 65" ONN was <$400 is now just shy of $600.
This is all because of the tariffs set by the Trump administration coupled with the free money set out by Biden. Inflation, inflation, inflation.
Any TV "deal" you see is not a deal when these prices reflect the prices of that in 2015. A TV deal is a deal once it dips below the norm of that in 2019 and 2020. When you go TV hunting on Black Friday this year, remember the prices you see. If that same TV was $100 last year and now it's $200 this year and their BF says it's $100, it's not a sale. It's retail price. TV prices go down because of new technology.

"MSRP" is 399. Up $70 USD from the older H9 Model. Seems to have a newer remote.

Hard to say if this is a deal since the previous version was $330, but I guess thats inflation metrics at hand.

I like it. It's a good budget tv and also good for gaming. It has hdmi 2.1. I use my PS5 on it and it looks good
