Wow awesome price OP thanks! This is lowest price ever going back to 2016 when it hit $137 according to CCC. I don't even need this as I have the DCD996, but couldn't pass up this price.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Yes, it's brushless. Chuck is SDS+. Looks like a better option than the Bosch which was so popular yesterday... IF you already have yellow and black batteries. Nearly double the power and larger drilling capacity compared to the Bosch, though not nearly as compact.

Not quite the power of the corded Bosh Bulldog though. If you can live with a cord, that's possibly a better solution.

I have this Bosch already, but I thought about picking this up since I'm all in to the dewalt system. But if the Bosch is better, then I guess I will pass. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm a general contractor and this is a fantastic hammer drill, especially for drilling through tile and concrete. I just bought two more ( I have a SD inflicted Dewalt problem!) and have them for all my workers.

At $145 delivered, it is hard to pass up. Already heavily invested in the yellow and black. Would have been nice to see a Milwaukee m18 at that price, but I think the dewalt will do everything I need it to do. Looks like a few other places have it for just a few dollars more.

Yup, your corded Bulldog is more powerful at 2.7 joules versus this Dewalt at 2.6j (per Dewalt and Bosch website specifications). If you're not presented any challenges by a corded tool, you've got a good setup there.

You have any 996b's I'm looking at that for $90 but their reviews aren't that great

Thanks for this info. I checked the price of the Bosch
$239 at HD
$199 at Lowes
$219 at ACME

Is the Bosch worth the extra money? I'm already in the Dewalt system but usually am next to an outlet for projects. Decisions.

Which Hammer drill is better this vs the Milwaukee M18 Hammer Drill model 2804-20?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in. Not entirely sure I need to actually own one of these but hard to say no at this discount when I'm into Dewalt system and I own an older house largely made up of cinderblock and brick.

Question for the experts in here: I want to run a gas line through a cinder block garage wall out to a deck on the other side for a grill. Anyone want to tell me that this is the drill that will get that job done? My plan was to go rent the drill and core bit but maybe now this thing can do it.

I bought this months ago at full price for a job I was doing and it's a steal at this price. Battery life seemed to last forever.

They're absolutely different, this dewalt rated foe much heavier concrete drilling and Milwaukee M18 Hammer Drill model 2804-20 just for small drilling in bricks.

I need it more for drilling holes into bricks 1/4 - 3/8 bits. 1 or 2 inch deep into the brick. New to hammer drills. Thanks.
