This is rated as the best all-around "standard speed 15MPH scooter" for under $500 for 2020. I researched every scooter available and watched almost every YouTube review for sub $500 scooters (I watched hundreds of videos!) and this was the model that was most consistently recommended as being the best value for the money which is why I bought it November 2020 and have used it almost every day since then. It has the battery in the base instead of the stem for better weight distribution, the high battery capacity give this scooter equal range to many $500-$800 models, it has features like cruise control that most cheaper scooters don't have, it has a digital readout showing your speed in 1/10th MPH increments, 4 bar battery meter, has a bright white headlight and red taillight for night riding which also blinks when braking, tires come pre-filled with Slime from the factory for good flat prevention since scooter tires/tubes are a huge pain to change, and has rear disc brake but it is pretty weak and needs a little adjustment ouf of the box to work well. The next step up would be about $800 for scooters that go 18MPH with only slightly better range but are usually a bit heavier, then $1200-$1400 for the scooters that go about 28MPH with nice wide tires and full suspension...and of course you can't forget the Rion Thrust for $8500 that goes 80MPH lol!

pretty sure 99% of scooters wouldn't work if you're 500lbs lol

I called them and they said they can get me a different "comparable" model that's about the same price. At first, they tried to get me a $250 comparable model. I asked them for the GO-Trax Ultra which was $800 and they said no, but they could sell it to me for $650 (no thanks). We settled on the Jetson Knight which is currently listed at $489.99 and they sold it to me for $249.99 with free shipping. I think I'm happy....cheapest I found that one was $449.99 so getting $200 off seems like a good deal. I recommend calling and seeing what they can do for you.

Just so everyone knows, I reached out to Gotrax via their online form and that model isn't discontinued.

The Jetson Knight seems like hefty downgrade across the board.
250w vs 300w
180 watt hours vs 280 watt hours battery
You will lose a lot of range with such a small battery.
Might as well take the GoTrax GXL V2 as that one seems to be on par or better than the Jetson Knight.

I called customer service and they offered me a refund + $150 gift card for use at Camping World. Figure I can use the gift card to make a good deal even better in the future.... Not that I want to order at Camping World much more but hey an incentive is an incentive.

I was only offered $50 initially after having to request compensation several times, $75 at the end. Good job getting $150.

Camping World is a terrible company.

I love how it went from "we can't get a hold of the vendor" for weeks, and then when asked to cancel based on the earlier email, they got a response within hours that they confirmed cancelation? Yeah I'm not ordering from them even if they were giving away stuff.

Latest email:

"Hello,

The vendor was able to cancel your order. I went ahead and cancelled and refunded your order on our end as well. You should see your refund back on your card in 3-5 business days. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you,"

Why is Camping World a terrible company if you got free money (way in excess of interest rates) out them merely holding your money for 3 weeks?

The whole point of compensating you is so you end up better off from this fiasco than you started. They took an all-around loss. You sold your moral right to bad-mouth them once you took their compensation.

Obviously you still can bad-mouth them, but you're the jerk there, not them.

They don't just hand out free money. You actually have to request it several times as the agents continually refuse and give you two options: cancelation or accepting the replacement. When you request it, it isn't even a simple request. You need to actually make an effort to repeatedly express frustration.

Camping World could have done a better job at all fronts. If they'd canceled orders on the first day or even first week, there'd be less dissatisfied customers.

They didn't hand out money, they couldn't deliver, even when given the 10-14 business days. The money given nets 0 because of a cancelled order. They haven't and won't deliver the XR Elites...You won't "end up better off" because you have wasted time and energy chasing them and when your order is cancelled, guess where the balance sits-- $0.

Can't say I'm surprised. The way this whole thing has been handled it's ridiculous. On Gotrax's website the Ultra is showing sold out so it's possible they don't have the supply. What likely happened is they fulfilled their direct orders first and put ours to the back of the line. I don't know what the agreement between Gotrax and Camping World is, but this certainly seems like a price mistake and they didn't want to honor it. We all know now, Gotrax and Camping World are blacklisted for me.

Just curious if anyone has tried contacting Marcus on his VIP line (866) 232-8960. "If you're not happy, I'm not happy". Lol sounds like he should have a flame suit ready.

I did yesterday before the cancellations.

Drop ship team sent me the $75 future credit, called that number to have it transferred as a refund to the (now cancelled) order. And then you know the rest
