Being ignorant doesn't have to show how stupid you are. If you use one at a daily basis you will know how much it's worth. Not $300 for sure, but definitely $99

What can you expect when apple prices these keyboard cases at prices they had no business being in the first place.

That's the last gen Magic Keyboard, which can still work with the new one, but it's a clearance model unlike this Smart Keyboard which is still sold by Apple as current. There is a newer Magic Keyboard if looking for the 5th Gen listings.
I didn't realize that. I bought the iPad to use as a tablet for notes and reading stuff for school, I am not planning on purchasing a keyboard. I have my Logitech 780 that is Bluetooth on my desk if I ever need it but I have my laptop for that stuff.

Same here, I had a keyboard for my last iPad but didn't use it so I now stick to more conventional tablet use.

I got mine for $53 at Target. Actually an additional 5% off with red card
How did you get it down to $53? Pretty sure it never went down to that price without coupons

Target had 1st gen on clearance for $53 (back in Jan this year). So I bought it, not realizing that it will not work with 2020 ipad pro 11 because of smaller camera cut out. I realized it when I came home, luckily before opening. So I went back to Target to replace it with new 2nd gen smart keyboard (with bigger, square camera cut out). The customer service guy in store did an even exchange for it with the new one without me even asking.

I bought the original keyboard (on clearance) from a different target store which was about 30 mins away from my home (the closer store didn't have it in stock). But to do my exchange, I went to the closer store because all I wanted was to exchange it with the new version which they had in stock. When I told him I need to get newer version, he rang both items, kept the old one and handed me the newer one with a receipt that said $0 balance.

The reason for this in my opinion is: They didn't have the item on clearance because, well, they were out of stock in the first place. When I asked him to do an exchange, both items must have rang at same price. So he did even exchange or maybe he just didn't care🤔. That's all I can think of. But hey it got me a heck of a deal🎉

It's been $200 at best buy for weeks.
And it's a good buy at $200. I'd save your money and get the magic keyboard instead of this.

Ordered a Like New one from VIPOutlet on Wednesday. Delivered today. No exterior original packaging but everything else (including docs) was there. Keyboard is in perfect shape.

If you don't need the trackpad and don't mind the slightly lower quality keys and no backlight, this is a good buy.

I used this for several months and began peeling all over the place. Got apple to replace it free under warranty. Grabbed an open box Magic Keyboard for $175 and it is AMAZING. HUGE difference. Never going back. Gonna sell my new replaced Smart Keyboard on FB or OfferUp.

It's worth what one is willing to pay. I think it's worth $300.
