3840x1080 kills the deal. For a monitor this size that is a very poor resolution.
Price about fair given that.

34 inch is rough without a curve, can't even imagine how bad 44 inch without a curve would be.

Just added Amazon Business Account and Prime for it was $70 if you have regular. They gave me an Amex with $20k line and you can choose either 5% back or 90 days to pay. This is going on my desk and replacing quad 20's. They game $125 gift card for opening too. So this netted to about $400 for me.

This 44" monitor is basically two 24" monitors side by side, which is what most recommend as the limit for 1080p. It would be a poor resolution at 49", which would be two 27" inch monitors side by side.

It's not very poor. 95% of people don't have rig powerful enough to run 4K on a lot of games at 120 Hz. without either bottlenecking or massive frame drop. Then there's other uses as I want to run it with multiple windows. In Ultrawide it presents the same as running two monitors side by side each at 1080p. Right now I'm using quad mounted 20".

Had the 49" samsung version. On paper, 3840x1080 is whatever, but the immersion experience, which is what these types of monitors offer, more than make up for poor resolution.

Spoken like a true ignoramus. Same resolution as the CHG90. You gonna complain about one of the most popular ultrawides out there? Try again.

Now it's $420 (w/ the coupon). Crazy good deal! Anyways, did a lot of research on this. Multiple companies have rebranded this monitor for different territories. One thing to note is it does come w/ 24 vertical dimming zones. I've been playing around w/ mine for a few days (@ $520) & I'm loving it so far. Minimal backlight bleed, great brightness & colors. Smooth as butter w/ GSYNC. I haven't noticed any ghosting etc w/ overdrive on medium.

Prism+ P438 (black version coming in October if you google the model)

Skyworth F44G1 (you can google translate, around 100 user reviews with pics/videos)

Still not worth it. No curve, cheapo monitor, but still $500+ after tax.

I could buy 2 M27Q or similar for about $500, which are superior monitors with better resolution, and you get more real estate.
