The centrifuge juicers are better and easier to clean.

I got this for 25 bucks at Burlington Coat factor (go figure)

If you read the negative reviews it talks about lots of plastic. The Omega centrifuge model is all metal.

No matter what you get. Juicing takes time. Sometimes its just easier to buy it fresh at the store from their juicing machine. Even trader joes has good juices. But for those that want the freshes of fresh...go for it.

Below would never happen with the Omega or other spinning disc models. The best models are all metal. Metal beats plastic

I didn't even get one cup of juice because I didn't cut up the veggies and tried to push too big of pieces through and broke the drum and feed chute. The company says they make replacement parts, but they are always out of stock. I bought this two months ago and have yet to really use it.

Omega is a great brand. I've been using their older J8004 model for many years.

Don't get this juicer if you're impatient. Cold-press juicers supposedly retain more nutrients because they press at a slower rate. The centrifugal juicers create more heat, and are less efficient (the pulp is more wet).

Seems like a good deal for a cold press juicer. The claim is that Cold pressed juice retains more nutrients since it does not elevate the temperature during the juicing process, therefore reducing oxidation.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the two types are for juicing different things. Auger type for leafy greens and wheatgrass and centrifugal for fruit.

You can use centrifugal for leafy greens if you bunch it up in a tube.

Wheatgrass is a whole different issue. And you probably should get the better model.

But then again.....why the hell you eat wheatgrass. More BS hype on a product . Just like Acai.
