Before making the choice about whether to go with various Ram + SSD option, I strongly suggest you watch the review video I've posted in the first post of this thread.
The 16GB Kit comes with two Single Rank 8GB modules (Ram chips only one side of the stick) which reduces the performance by certain degree as Ryzen Processors benefits from dual rank memory.
My recommendation will be buying the barebone and then get your SSD and Ram. They're charging extra $150 for 16GB Ram + 256GB SSD configuration which you can buy yourself. 256GB NVMe SSD can be found as cheap as $30-$40 if you look for the deals and 16GB kit will cost $60-$70.
I'm not thinking they are. Simply confirming that they are not.
While AMD CPUs do not support TB3 directly, a few higher-end X570 mobos support TB3 at the chipset level. Please, do more research to avoid spreading misinformation in the future. Thanks.
There are multiple from Asrock and Asus even preparing one with Thunderbolt 4. But those implementations are not coming from AMD CPU or chipset but Third party TB controller, custom DMA protection and then the Mobo manufacturers getting their own certification from USB consortium. Read my previous post.
Yes, it is. Go to Newegg and check the Gigabyte Birx with Ryzen 7 4800U barebone at around $554. That will still be a bit overkill but the price is good.
Agree that this thing is overkill, but if you'll use it for other stuff it is a great option. I have a base M1 Mac Mini that serves as a plex server and also replaced my desktop. I absolutely love it and it silently runs Plex including media from a network drive, plus all of my live DVR OTA stuff - it's great and completely transparent to my other use and entirely silent.
This thing is leaving lots of performance on the table by only supporting 3200mhz ram. Zen 3 and it's fclk/Infinity Fabric matches up best with ddr3600, and possibly even 3800

This thing looks pretty cool, does anybody have any experience with this company's products and/or support?
