Great price on a great little saw. Be sure to pull the brake all the way back until it clicks, that was not clear in the instructions.

I bought this saw not on sale and it is one of my favorite tools. Big enough for limbing work but small enough to use with one hand. 5ah battery (not included) gets surprisingly long life. I had a bunch of trees come down last year, I have m18 and kobalt battery saws and access to gas saws. This DeWalt is enough for most work. Definitely doesn't have the power of a bigger saw but it actually is just plain fun to use. I think I paid $169 for it, I've seen it at $99 a couple times. full price is worth it if you need the tool, $99 is good if you think you might need one soon. make sure to buy bar and chain oil and some extra chains and if you're clumsy an extra bar. especially if you're learning you'll want extra supplies in hand in case you botch it.

I have the same issue. I store it with the fill cap facing the ceiling, so the saw sits on its side. No more leak issue

Got this a couple of years ago when it popped up here. This thing is a beast. All the effectiveness of a small chainsaw with the grab and go ease of battery power.

I have this one, and indeed, like everyone says, it is great!

The only flaw is that is leaks oil.
When you store it, make sure you put it on some cardboard or something you don't care about, because the oil will leak out.
(Or you drain the oil after you use it, so there is nothing to leak)

I have this for MTB trail clearing. Installed a 16" bar for more bite. Works great!

Side note, wear lots of bug spray. I didn't realize the 2 stroke smoke helped to repel mosquitoes.
