Download the manual and check it out, some OEMs even have emulators/simulators of their firmware you can access on their site.

It's probably pretty easy to change the "operation mode" to access point from "gateway".

Great price, very good performance, the only issue with this router I believe is it runs hot so dont put this anywhere where there is poor airflow.

Lol they are already here and the only one even close in this price range around $400 was the linksys MR7500 and its performance is garbage and slower than a lot of wifi 6 routers. Wifi 6E is the most overrated thing to wait for ever.

I have this. Great speed and range. Runs pretty hot, I have a 120mm usb fan underneath running on low to prevent throttling

Is TP Link any better than Netgear?

Spectrum charge for wifi router and my old backup was a Netgear N router (only 2.4ghz). The other Asus with tomato doesn't work, thought I would get something latest tech for less. We aren't internet hungry, only two mobile devices or TV, but I do wfh and need to keep signal solid.

I cant say how much better but it should be better, the Netgear RAX20 is a extremely entry level router that is nowhere near at the level of their MSRP on amazon. The AX3000 is at the cusp of a entry to medium level router. With the antenna configuration should also have better range than the RAX20.

As I mentioned and so did another person, this is known to run hot so make sure you keep it in open air environment.

Keep in mind this is 2x2 radios for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. If you have an AC1750 router that's 3x3.

Also per some reviews this is a Walmart specific model that's a little worse than the regular AX50. Although the specs are almost the same on paper it appears to run worse in Wifi performance.

I have the staples version of this. If you can live without a ton of fancy features and a severe lack of fw updates, it's a pretty great router.

I have the AX3200 version. It lacks monthly total data usage tracking for comparison with ISP's data meter (incoming data cap any day now).
