Did this a few weeks ago and used it probably a dozen times since. Super convenient. I put a camera in the garage to make sure the delivery people don't do anything funny. They honestly seem like they couldn't care less, they just place the package and walk away. I spent about $23 on the myQ hub which was required so I made $17 and gained the ability to open/close my garage from my phone.

Edit: looks like many people don't like the idea of letting Amazon into your home/garage. I can't blame you. But you can use this opportunity as a money maker and you can revoke access immediately after that first delivery and never use it again. Easy $17-40 for a few minutes of work and if you're home you can literally stand there when they deliver the package and watch them.
My complaint about this, was for my first key delivery. Driver decided to open/close garage from app, and mark package delivered. Checked my garage, as well as cams, and nothing was delivered. Happened to be on f]porch checking my ring am footage, as he passed by. I flagged him down, and told him what he did. He apologized, and handed me my package directly. I didn't file a complaint, not sure if Amazon would gaf tbh.
hahahahaha no.

this would be perfect for those with an enclosed patio so the packages can be dropped off safely and out of the elements yet your front door is still locked and the only thing in the patio would be whatever you put in there. chairs, couch, rugs lol. or you could build a decently large lean-to shed and put access for packages there. it's something i'm looking at building.

Amazon already allows you to add delivery instructions and request that packages be placed at a specific location, as long as the package is delivered by their drivers (which in my area is over 90% of packages). I believe that the key promo is specific to garages and requires integration with specific hardware although I haven't really tried it without.

I didnt dive too far into it as our garage is located behind a locked gate. So it wouldnt work for us.
I actually already have instructions for delivery but they never follow them they just leave it out on the porch for anyone to come by and get it. Luckily no one has but doesnt mean it wouldnt happen in the future

Cool, next thing ya know they will offer a service were food is delivered and feed you as you sit back on the sofa watching TV. Next after that, bathe me.

Basic MyQ does not require a subscription. Connection to Amazon Key is supposed to be free as well.

Not unless you have a MyQ garage door accessing these areas.
