Valhalla is 100-200hrs of "Meh". It's never bad. Once in a while (ok maybe 3 times) it's amazing. But most of the time it's just overwhelmingly OK. It's the okayest game I've ever played.

Just an FYI. If you do get the Valhalla PS4 version or Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS4 version, you can unlock the PS5 versions digitally for free. The condition is that they do require the PS4 disks to be unlocked and played each time. I had thought Judgment also qualified, but it didn't when I tried.

I will say that Odyssey is a better game, but Valhalla is a good Assassin's Creed game, if that helps. I'm about 20 hours in and I like it so far.

I agree so much. If this game was between 70-90 hours from start to finish it would be great. I bought the season pass but don't think im going to continue. Im burnt out from all the side quests. I didnt even do the Valhalla/Thor missions or the raiding.

I loved Odyssey (hadn't played an AC games since Brotherhood, well I played unity for about 10 minutes but that doesn't count) and have played about 10 hours of Valhalla. It's different, fighting is 'chunky' if that makes sense, you have heavy axes and what not, vs swords in previous AC games. To me controls seem less quick, maybe that is more realistic but takes some time getting used to. That being said I think the Norse touch is pretty cool direction.

I have to agree that Valhalla is just ok and way too long. I hit a point where I realized I was playing more out of a sunk cost feeling that I had put too much time in it to give up now. The stealth is also terrible to nonexistent. One of my favorite parts of AC games has always been sneaking around and pulling off silent assassinations, but this game forces you to just blunder around chopping people up with heavy weapons. I get that you're a Viking, but I kind of assumed the game would be about learning to go from a berserker to a ninja. Nope.

Valhalla has no loot. One of the most fun parts of origins and odyssey was finding tons of gear. Odyssey just got a 60 fps patch on xsx and ps5 just fyi if anyone is curious. So did horizon zero dawn. Good time to be a gamer

I am about 85 hours into AC Valhalla and have conquered the entire territory we need to conquer (avoiding naming the areas for spoiler reasons). Only thing that remains is basically doing eliminating everyone that needed to be eliminated, but only a few remain. I'll probably trade it in this weekend.

I knew I wasn't the only one. And when I finally did hit the "ending"I was just pissed off. I had to go online and make sure I actually had beaten the game. Absolute structural failure of a finale.

I should have just quit while things were "Ok" instead of forcing myself to grind through for that completely unsatisfying ending.

Really regret buying this game, the toggle to sprint scheme makes this unplayable.... press L3 to toggle sprint, then bump into a wall/rock/tree/pole/enemy/horse then it will stop your running and you have to press L3 AGAIN, repeat this until my hand hurts and quit because of frustration.
