Same boat here! Have made peace with waiting 6 months for 3rd party games to hit $20 and now that I'm on gamepass, day one Microsoft Studios and EA games at 0 risk. Don't like it, delete it and move on to the next game! Preordered Cyberpunk and now seeing it at $10 all over the place not even a year later. Played a few hours and put it away. Will make another go when (if) CDPR releases Series X optimized version they have been promising.

I can understand where you're coming from with the standpoint of some people not buying certain games now, but I love having gamepass. It's allowing me to play many games that I wouldn't otherwise and those devs are now getting more than zero from me. It feels a lot like renting games back in the 8/16/32 bit days as I typically only play a game on gamepass for a few days before uninstalling it.

Anything Microsoft puts out through there studio the game is in full on gamepass. The Multiplayer is free to play (Warzone, Apex, etc.) for anyone who can run the game on PC or Xbox.

Somebody please correct me if *I* am wrong but I believe multiplayer for Halo Infinite is going to be free to play (you won't need gamepass)

Right? For me, I have played many smaller games (and enjoyed most of them) that I would NEVER have taken a risk of purchasing. The only problem I have now is game fatigue and not knowing what to play that is installed on my hard drive. When I first unboxed my Series X I installed a boatload of games that with the intention of playing them and I just haven't gotten around to it. I always find it funny when people act like there is no compensation that is going on between Microsoft and the smaller game devs. I don't know with 100% certainty but I am pretty sure that M$ pays the devs a pretty good amount of money upfront to have the game on gamepass and then based on installation base or time spent playing negotiate a split when/if somebody does end up "purchasing" digital rights to play the game after it leaves game pass. Sounds like a win-win scenario to me. Anybody with ACTUAL knowledge wanna jump in here and respond? This is just napkin theorizing here but I am honestly curious and want to foster an intelligent discussion.
