Adobe CC is NEVER a good deal. There are very good alternatives to this greedy company.

Sometimes there isn't a choice. While I hate the subscription model, their software is incredible and unless I want to redo hundreds of files, amounting to thousands hours of work, Adobe is the only option. We had to be Abel to work in the same software as clients. Sadly, I have to pay the $600/yr since I'm not a student/teacher. Wish there was a deal for that.

It's a good deal if you are in the industry and need the software. Thanks OP

Exactly. Good luck trying to convince all your clients to stop using Adobe...

How would someone go about getting this if already subscribed to the 29.99/month plan? Cancel and re-sub? Getting blocked at checkout since I have existing plan.

Can you please list the good alternatives for each product in CC so I can download and start using with the same support, tutorials, and compatibility with windows and macos? And worth my time checking out to save $200 for a year?

While a monopoly is never a good thing- I think you'd have a hard time saying it's overpriced, even at it's regularly discounted subscription.
I mean you get a vast wealth of advanced software- Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and on and on, not to mention Adobe font library.

For current subscribers: Every 4-6 months if you "try" to cancel your subscription (even a student account) they will offer you between 60-90 days free if you elect to not cancel. I do it every 6 months and set a calendar reminder.

EDIT: Also they will automatically "negotiate" your rate as well. I now pay $19.99 a month after, which they changed from $29.99 after I cancelled for real.

If you're a student check with your university, even as an alumni. My universities online store lets students get it for $35/year, still lets me do it as an alumni.

Note that this is just for the first year. The subscription costs doubles for renewals. Make sure you cancel the auto-renew....
