I have about 15 of the M12 tools and this saw is by far the most disappointing. I can barely get it to cut through a two-by-four. I'm not sure what the issue is but I do not like this saw

As much as I love the idea of smaller, lighter tools, a circular saw just isn't a good application for a 12v battery. If you need a cheap, ultralight saw, there's an 18v Ryobi model of about the same size and weight that sells for $50. It even has an aiming laser.

More disappointing than the m12 cordless compact vacuum? That thing sucks! On a side note, what size of battery you using? I really want this thing to be enough for quick cuts on small projects so I don't need to pull out the corded circular.

It struggles greatly to cut through a two-by-four no matter the battery I have about 40 batteries of different sizes. It does fine on trim but on a 2 x 4 caught it just bogs down terribly. No fine cutting with this saw

I love my m12 fuel collection I have so far. My concern is the less common 5 3/8" blade size. It's just enough to cut 2x4s and there are never promotions on the blades. I can't decide if it has enough pros to purchase over a 7 1/4" m18 or ridged octane.

Then just buy the bare tool? It's $150 without the batteries. The deal here is that you're getting a discount with the batteries but if you don't need them buy the saw by itself and save yourself $40

I've been hoping someday the tool would go on sale so I could buy it a cheaper than

I just bought this saw only for $150 three days ago. Think I could return it and get the deal? You can tell the blade has barely been used on a test piece of wood

I have cut many 2x4s with this saw. But, it must be a very straight cut and any twisting will stop blade.

I built a 10x14 shed with this m12 circular saw. It cuts through 2x4, 2x6, plywood and cement siding(diamond blade) no problem. I have m18 as well but prefer the m12 because it is much lighter in comparison. It bogs down when the battery is low but it doesn't give up. If you need raw power then m18 is the way to go.
