Is this Ryobi better buy for small DIY projects?
I have the 6.5" Ryobi circ saw (brushed model). I think it makes sense for a DIY to have a 6.5" and 7.25" circular saw. Ryobi is the DIY value brand for 18v. I have the M12 fuel impact and drill driver, for appearances mostly. You have to have some high end tools so that people take you seriously.

Milwaukee circular saw cordless sucks ...Dewalt all the way
Flexvolt saws are unbeatable and stronger than even corded saws, but DeWALT can't compete with M12 in the 12 volt arena. I'm curious to see how their new 5-3/8" 12 volt saw performs compared to this.

I just bought this saw only for $150 three days ago. Think I could return it and get the deal? You can tell the blade has barely been used on a test piece of wood
Buy the set and take back the new one

I would go a little larger than this. for DIY, I think MILWAUKEE'S M18 2630-20 6 1/2 is plenty enough. this is definitely the most powerful m12 circular saw, however m18 non fuel non brushless will be much more powerful and wider use range.

Seems like a good deal. Really torn on whether or not to wait for a deal on the m18 or if this would suffice for 99% of home projects
Over time, you will end up needing both lines.
M18 stuff for tools that aren't in the M12 lineup, such as table saw, miter saw, router, vac, etc.
M12 stuff for the lighter work tools, such as drill, driver, wrench, air inflator.

It was what ever the factory was. I was able to rotate my tires with issue.
Did you use the 6.0 battery?

They really need to come out with a track saw.
They have one coming out soon for the M18, I doubt they'll ever make one for the M12 though.

The 1/2" drive impact for car wheels - do I need to buy anything else like special bits to use on my car?

Not sure where you purchased it but if you bought it used it and it sucked would they take it back? If so, return it.
Buy this then take the new blade and saw and return it back to the store with your old receipt.

Ughh... looks like Milwaukee is following Dewalt into the void of "Tool brands that used to be amazing". 😞
