I just got denied over the phone. Saying since it includes bundle items that it wouldn't let them. But I did get the game in store. Just couldn't get the free items. Was told once an order is fulfilled they can't add to the order. Even though they've done it for me before in the past with other games. Tried to see if they could place a new order with the price match and free items. and was still denied. Seems like no matter what I've tried no luck. Can only get the price match in store without the items. and that is all. Or pay full price for the items online.

I just successfully did a post-purchase price match via chat. To those having trouble, try checking out, then wait a few minutes. Go into your purchase history, select the order, then choose "Cancel & Support Options".

Under "How can we help you today?", choose "I found a better price elsewhere", and follow the prompts. Have the url for the game on Amazon ready, and make sure it is still showing $29.99 (sold by Amazon).

It's not really all that grindy, certainly way less than the first two. You can max out every job for each character in a couple of hours if you're smart about it, and that's not at all necessary to finish the game.

Confirmed that I was able to get this price matched through Best Buy chat no problem

Edit: Confirmed with my rep that it would include the placemat and coasters. Went to pick it up at Best Buy and they mentioned it wasn't included in the pickup order but after I hounded them and showed them a picture of the rep telling me it would be included they went out back and found one for me!

Got price matching no problem from Best Buy Online. No coaster stuff though, but I didn't ask or push for it. I'm just happy to get it from not Amazon.

Bravely default games can be completed without crazy grinding. But if you want to trample over the enemies and do all the side bosses then yes.
That said… between auto battle and the exp multiplier for consecutive battle in BD II, racking huge amount of exp is no problem at all and you should get max level and most jobs quickly. Fyi i got to lv99 with 75% jobs mastered on all chars in <60hrs including doing the story and sidequests. I'm sure some people can do it even faster. I did it on my first playthrough. After knowing the mechanics i am sure it can be done in just few hours honestly

TLDR: it's a fun game and you decide how far you want to dive into the game. Give it a try. For $30 it's a no brainer.

Game was a bit too long for me. I wouldn't say it's "grindy" but the loading times between the battles were a bit too long for tedious spam fights. I can't remember the time but I would say it takes 5 seconds to load a fight and another 5 seconds after. Doesn't seem long but 10 second intermission is a lot for these shorter spammy fights.

My thoughts if it helps anyone make their decisions.

I enjoyed bravely default and bravely second but they were definitely too grindy. Makes me hesitate about this one

There is no auto battle in this game... are you sure you played BDii?

Man. I am loving it so far, in chapter 5... but I do enjoy a good jrpg pretty often
