I ordered this particular roast earlier at 11.40 and already tried. The bag I got was bitter and stale. I used it in the superautomatic machine. Tried different grind levels to the same effect. The expiratuon date was October 2021. Not the best Lavazza roast, that's for sure.

Thankfully I've been lucky with my 84 kilos of prior shipments over the years. I tend to grab the whole beans whichever is on sale and only purchased this possibly once from my memory.

While, I've received beans not airpacked, they weren't stale. Always throw my bags in the freezer. October 2021 seems like a very early expiration. I have two bags sitting in my freezer from December that have a November 2021.

Thanks for the heads up, I should keep a closer eye on expiration with lavazza.

Kinda like buying organic goods at Ross, TJ Maxx or Grocery Outlet. Most or much of the stuff is "okay..". Sort of. Roll your dice.
