First post and didn't see this listed here yet. Went into lowes looking for a finish nailer and saw this miter marked down on clearance. Using Lowe's card came to $108.37. my store only had a few.
let's see if I do this right.

This is a 7 1/4" miter saw

Congrats on your first post and good call adding the bs link! Might be good to add 7 1/4" to title so you don't go attracting down votes from people who are looking for 10" or 12"

What dos it mean if the price says "N.A." on Brickseek? Does that mean it's been marked down?

It means that either that store never carried it or they are not able to pull the price/stock from that store..check the Lowes site/app to see if it comes up for that store

How does this saw compare to this Kobalt [lowes.com]. I had picked up the Kobalt at local Lowe's via this slickdeal and my end cost after the "Buy More Save More" Kobalt discount was ~$100 after tax. I know this Craftsman miter saw includes a battery whereas the Kobalt does not include any batteries in the box. But I do have few Kobalt 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah batteries.

I am not a professional - just an occasional DIY'er and initial use will be for cutting flooring planks for basement finish as well as simple frames for my daughters' paintings.

Just wondering if the Craftsman might be better?

Thanks for any input,

Thanks. Just edited the title to include the size.
edit: now my brickseek link disappeared when I edited the title let me see if I can get that back.

I still had it up, so i figured i'd paste it here. Also shouldn't be able to be deleted. I had a few disappear on me which made me wonder if anyone was messing with my post to keep it on the dl or something

I have the kobalt one and this one looks to be exactly the same except it has the laser line. Kobalt just has a light. I picked it up as a present since I have a family member buying into the Craftsman's line

I think the kobalt is better since it's dual bevel. It isn't absolutely necessary, but nice to have.

Thanks got one from my local lowes for $114.06 They had to get it down from the very top of some random aisle.

I'm in the middle of a project and my effing miter saw got stolen the other day... Very pissed about that but knew I had to replace it. Happy with this deal but not that i had to buy another one.

Sorry man, that's really sh!tty. I consider myself pretty openminded when it's me vs big corporations, but i can't fathom how people can steal from other people. Why wouldn't they just shoplift a new one? Seems like way more risk f#cking with some dude that owns a chop saw than employees where there's a decent chance they couldn't care less.

Edit: I went ahead and bought one after watching some YT videos, plus price dropped to $80 . The battery and charger are worth $50 alone, right?

This Craftsman definitely cuts better than my 18V brushed 7 1/4" Ryobi. It's not just the slide and build quality, the Craftsman has a better motor too.
