I used these to clean up a rusty trailer. the bristles broke often sending them flying. I have no experience with a different brand but wasn't real thrilled with these.

Purchased this set a while back and used with a 4 inch grinder. The wires flew off like little missiles and would embed in my arms and one went through my shirt into my abdomen. They did not go in far, but damn, they stink. Don't take a chance. HF is good for some things, but no these.

I think it's pretty sad that what was an every day price last year is now considered to be a good deal.

I didn't shop at HF much in the past, but now I never do.

is harborfteight still a thing? nobody knows who they are after their 20% off and free flashlight coupons are gone
Perfect marketing by them. Sell cheap stuff, give a bunch of coupons out all the time, get customers hooked on the thought of cheap items and always think of HF, slowly increase prices and pull back on coupons, and now they have their loyal customer base lol

Stand back/to the side when you rev this up for the first time laugh out loud

But I'd say that about ANY wire brush.

Would be even better with their 30% off $10 coupon, but they've given up on the loss leader business model so no dice.

In any case I picked this up a while back using a 20% off coupon, so it came out to the same.

A store is a thing according to my first grade teacher, since Harbor Freight is a retail store, then yes, it's a thing.
I highly doubt the person you asked will answer that for you, since he stated his opinion, the same one you quoted. You should have better luck asking those that acknowledge the existence of the subject in your question.

They sell a few small items that I still need, just not urgently. I'll wait a few more weeks to see if they run the 30% sale again, and if not just bite the bullet and buy them at their regular price and probably not go there again for at least half a year. Of course they're not losing money on customers like me, who wait for sales and coupons and buy only those items, and resist the temptation to buy anything else, at least nothing costing more than a few dollars. These loss leader incentives never work with me. Perhaps they don't work with most people, and this is why they stopped them. In any case, I basically now have nearly everything I need, in terms of tools and consumables.

Do they no longer take those free item coupons? I thought they took them even if they're expired.

I use to get excited about Harbor Freight. Now the deals suck and you end up paying full price for mostly low quality stuff. I don't mind buying junk but only if it's really cheap.

I used these HF steel brushes to prep the inside and outside of my Jeep's tub before paint. I went through a few, but they did the job. Gonna swing by my local store and get 2 more of these.

In all fairness, last week I was speaking to a young man about a job opportunity installing data cables. The job offered $18/hour. He was excited, and I had to find a way to keep his spirits up while pointing out that Target pays shopping cart chasers $18/hour.

No one knows what the real value of a dollar is at the moment. Is it standing on a ladder and working with power tools, or is it unskilled air conditioned work. What if the sudden disappearance of HF coupons is responsible for a 20% drop in the value of the dollar?

Not ALL coupons are gone, but drastically reduced and certainly not so prevalent.
