Looks like the new mini 6 will list at $399, have an A14 chip, Touch ID on the power button, and 8.5" mini-led display. It might switch to USB-C as well.

Too late. Folks successfully have had been doing that for a week now by price matching Best Buy's. Their inventory are starting to get low depends on the region you're currently at.

Is this the Wi-Fi or LTE model? The description at Walmart mentions about LTE but the P/N indicates it's the Wi-Fi model and matches what Best Buy's listing is.

This is for the lowest-tier Mini - 64GB WiFi-only Gold. If you need a 256GB model or have a requirement for Cellular connectivity, or just prefer a model that's a more "desirable" color (lol, my term) the prices are holding in the same "up-to-$522" range. Smilie

But thanks OP for posting. Its nice to see that the retailers are beginning to get more aggressive with the discounts - hopefully this will accelerate throughout September.

I'm on a self-imposed ban on any new small / portable devices that lack USB-C charging. New ones will have that at a minimum, which is enough for me to wait. But a Bloomberg insider's report supposedly claimed the 2021 model will be the largest design change in iPad mini history.
