Decent price for a Ryzen LG Gram/Ultra PC. 2.16 pounds, very light. Battery life rated at 14.5 hours. USB C charging, if it's similar to other grams.

They also have Ryzen 7 version with R7 4700u 256gb ssd, 16gb ram for $800.

They're not for everyone, so unless you want a light laptop, you can do better for the price.

There's a typo in your post. The 16 gb is $800, not $700.

I'm not as saavy as the rest of you. Is the Lenovo deal from Costco better than this one? Opinions in general as everyone has their preferences. TIA.

If you're talking about the Lenovo Ideapad Slim 7i, then it's not a cut and dry comparison. It's comparing apples to oranges b/c both have are different class of laptops. The LG Ultra is much more mobile as it's nearly a pound lighter than the Lenovo, LG being 2 lbs while Lenovo is 3 lbs. That extra mobility gives the LG a huge advantage over the Lenovo as all the other specs are relatively equal. Performance wise, the two are almost equal, as LG has a 4th gen Ryzen 4500 while Lenovo contains the 11th gen 1165. The two CPU's have nearly the same benchmark except for the fact that Ryzen will have better multi core performance while Intel has the single core advantage. The Lenovo will have better graphics than LG though as the iGPU of the Iris Xe 11th gen cpu outperforms the iGPU of Ryzen 4000.
Can't speak about the build quality of the two as I haven't had the chance to test in person. But if you're leaning towards the LG, remember to get the 16 gb of ram version. 8gb will severely limit your performance.

Isn't the 7i a touchscreen while this is not?

This is fine but the asking price is too much for a processor that is well over a year old now, 8gb of ram and a 256gb ssd. For example the Yoga 6 was on sale a year ago for $500 at these exact specs at Best Buy (which I bought for my kid). This will work fine but there's no chance the battery life is close to what is advertised. I would say closer to five hours max. If this had the latest gen ryzen 5 mobile cpu, I would say it is a better buy. Right now this machine is a bit overpriced for a Windows machine at these specs, IMHO.

Edit: I just noticed this is not a touchscreen laptop, now making it a worse deal for many. Even the Yoga 6 has a touchscreen.
