I was able to go to checkout as a T-mobile upgrade, but didn't place order since I am not shopping for a phone at this time.

I went to the store today. And the new line TMobile is $1099. But they are out of stock. Wonder how long do I need to keep the line.

You will need to keep your line for 3 years.

To anyone trying to understand why this is a deal compared to what we have seen here is why: This deal doesn't make you stay a customer for 24 months in bill credits. You can buy this phone in full for $1300, pay for a month of service, get it unlocked in the process and then use the device wherever you want if you don't want to stay with t-mobile.

Because the discount is instant, so you can get it unlocked and take it anywhere after you pay for a month of service aka have it activated. The discounts we have been seeing are almost all 24-36 months bill credits so you are stuck with a carrier.

Could you please comment on get it unlocked part of your post. My experience with T-Mobile has been particularly bad in their resistance to unlock devices for one reason or another

Since you are paying it off outright, you don't need to wait a long time to get it unlocked. According to Tmobile unlock policy, the device must have been active on T-Mobile network for at least 40 days. I read from a different post, they got it unlocked quickly via Tmobile Twitter which I have not done personally.

I've done this in the past with other phones. Bought T-Mobile phones direct from Samsung, sent T-Force some twitter DMs, told them my TMO account info and the new phone info, and they unlocked it within a couple of days.

Dude, do you even know what you are talking about? This particular one from Best Buy is not a payment plan. It is an instant credit that you get and you pay what you see on the screen after the credit with applicable tax. You are in the wrong thread brah!

Anyone having issues verifying their TMobile account? Im using my primary phone number and it won't send me the code to verify via text. As for email, I keep receiving an error messages that tells me to try again.
