- If the box cover is glued on all 4 sides, you will have to insert a knife to unlock the box. The puzzle pieces are loose in the box.
- If the box cover is not glued shut, the pieces are packaged in a plastic bag. There is less damage, but still some and there is always puzzle dust.
- Most Buffalo Games puzzles are loaded with puzzle dust and will attract dust mites if your home has high humidity
- 4 out of 5 Buffalo Games puzzles have damaged pieces - bent ends and separating pieces.
- One of the 5 had ultra-glossy pieces and these made it incredibly hard to complete because of the glare. You couldn't see the colors on the pieces without a flashlight
- Some pieces will fit in more than one place perfectly

Where do you buy your puzzles from ? I have done more than 200 in the last year and a half and have not received one Buffalo puzzle damaged. In the under $25 range the buffalo puzzles are the best in my experience. I have moved on to 2000 and more piece puzzles because I can do the thousand piece puzzle in under two hours now and it's not much of a challenge. I highly doubt four out of five of your puzzles were damaged just like I have never opened a buffalo box that the pieces were not in a bag
I agree with the puzzle quality items, completely. Almost any of these name brands are "fine" especially if you get them new.
What I logged in for was your claim that you can do 1000 piece puzzles in 2 hours because "it's not much of a challenge". While I can believe certain puzzles are able to be done in 2 hours, even 1000 piecers, I think you're WILDLY overconfident depending on the picture you are working on.

Agreed. If I could consistently put together 1000 piece jigsaws by myself in under two hours I'd probably get the Guinness Book of World Records on the phone instead of post about it on Slickdeals.

I bought two from the last slickdeals post. Out of the two, one came with the box damaged (one of the glued sides had come apart and I wasn't going to count the pieces to find out if there was 1000 still) so I got a replacement. Both boxes were glued shut (2 dabs of glue on each side). Neither had a plastic bag.
Completed both and did notice some pieces on both had some minor damage (slightly bent, some layers peeling). Also had one piece where the bottom layer wasn't completely separated so I had to pull it apart myself.
I have very little experience in buying puzzles so I do not know what the expectation should be, but hope my experience would be somewhat useful for others in their decision.
