Ya know it would be really tempting if they didn't sell ALL YOUR INFORMATION.

For anyone who sees this and doesn't know.. That's why they're so cheap.

Get access to Consumer Reports and other mags electronically from your local public library if you're able to. Slicker.

Spam off! Take a hike. We don't need to read your angst on here. If you have a problem with Consumer Report, why don't you contact them directly instead of acting like a baby and posting this sh$t on here?!!!

In case anyone is looking for a freebie...you can pick up Men's Health Magazine and/or Women's Health Magazine from RecycleBank (free).

No cc information is taken, no auto-renew. You complete tasks on their site to earn pts and redeem for subscriptions. It doesn't take long...but some folks don't want to deal with it.

Some freebie sites for magazines can be hit or miss. I've been using RecycleBank for 10 years, and I've received every magazine I've ordered.

Men's Health Magazine (2 Yrs)
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...sues-12985

Women's Health Magazine (2 Yrs)
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...sues-12981

Other Magazines Currently Available from RecycleBank
https://www.recyclebank.com/rewar...-magazines

Whether you use DM or RecycleBank, you can extend a current subscription. If you do, be sure to use the EXACT same name/addy information that is on your current mailing label. If you aren't sure...you can log into your subscription account at the magazine specific website to verify your information.

Subscriber Account Login at Men's Health Magazine
https://service.menshealth.com/login?redirect=/

Subscriber Account Login at Women's Health Magazine
https://service.womenshealthmag.c...direct=%2F

If, despite using the same information, you start to receive duplicates. You can resolve the issue by contacting customer service at the specific magazine (not DM or RB). Once logged into your account at the magazine specific website (see link above), you can send a message to customer service. You provide the account numbers off the magazine labels, and ask that the subscription accounts be merged.

Yes, you have to sign up/register at the RecycleBank website.

You can use an email address you have reserved for junk mail, if you're concerned about spam (although I haven't personally had that problem).

My sister has her account under a throwaway email address (emailondeck, 10minutemail etc).

After you are signed up, you click on the tab that says "Earn Points". They are various activities to click thru to earn points (you don't need to get the answers correct to earn the points).

About 5-6 years ago, Consumer Reports brought in a new Editor. Since this change it feels as thought the magazine is written by, and for, women of NYC and Connecticut. It's really become a publication for the wealthy, suburban gals. It feels very out of touch with the average person. The digital version is now about $37 a year. Not renewing either ever again. This is from a 30 subscriber, and a 45 year reader.
