Question for those who buy Wellness brand regularly for cats. I've only bought this brand once before when it had a crazy deal on this particular one...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X9NM5HL/
It took a $12.xx coupon off TWICE making it like $13ish total with S&S. Normally $40. I wasn't planning to purchase again since it's so expensive BUT my cat no longer throws up all the time. I'm thinking I need to shell out the money to get better quality food. What advantages does the one I linked to above have over this cheaper Wellness one...

Sorry if that's a dumb question or obvious. I'm new to pets and owning a cat. I was told to not switch their food around if it's working for them. Now that I found one that works I'd like to save a little and get the cheaper one (in the 2nd link) if it's similar enough.

Wellness Core is better across all varieties, with some significantly above average:

FYI, wet food is better as a main food, as many cats eating exclusively dry don't drink enough water, which can cause kidney damage over time.

Mr skeptic already covered some tips but I just wanted to add. That it's not a dumb question. You are smart to look ahead, a diabetic cat or one with kidney/UTI issues is costly. Other positives of better quality food, they normally need less of it and the litter box is a touch more tolerable.
If you add wet food (we do) For one cat, we do a scoop of canned in the morning and then do dry food for a second meal at night. One 5.5 can last one cat 3-4 days for us.
We have a handful of brands that we stick to and rotate in with the sales as needed. That has what has worked out for us so far.
Sometimes my local pet food supplies plus has decent sales on the brands we like (like stella & chewy) I stock up a bit. Keep an eye on holiday time sales.

For instance, some sort of fish in the ingredients when it's labeled Turkey flavor so it might be harder to catch on that a particular thing doesn't do well for your cat.
That being said, I am not surprised that your cat did better on wellness core. Its a decent line.

We do give wet food each day too but do a whole can and she doesn't always finish it. I like the suggestion to stretch it over a couple days. And I've definitely noticed that this one 11 pound Wellness bag has lasted longer than other cheaper bags we've bought. Now that you mention it, our cat (just turned 3 years) has actually had urinary issues already. Going to the litter box every few minutes and cat urine all around and outside of the litter box for days on end. Plus throw up almost daily. It was a mess. I'm guessing switching to that Wellness cat food in my first link from my previous post has made all the difference because that hasn't happened even once since. Maybe I'll just stick to that even though it's expensive.
