I bought one right when it went up. Hoping to strike rich and get another non-LHR 3080 card. My order from less than a month ago was non-LHR. We'll see if this one is lucky as well. If not, just a quick return to Best Buy as the build is not worth it with an LHR card.

Can we know if it is LHR or not from the spec itself? If not how do we check if it LHR or not after receiving the box? Thx

Got one of these despite people ballyhooing the heating. It's pretty noisey but after I took off the glass case it runs much cooler. About normal for a hot intel chip. It Only flares up and gets hot when I import like huge models in unreal.

Not sure you can check for sure other than with opening it up. Then you can run the card itself which will tell you for sure, or try to check the manufacturing date to get a good estimate.

Check the manufacturing date on the box. If it is May or earlier, it's not LHR. If it is June, it's probably not LHR.

Also look at the card for Rev 1.0x

Edit: I have a nagging suspicion this new batch are newly manufactured units with LHR GPUs though.

I got one of the 3080 versions for mining about 2 weeks ago. It was a non lhr card however it is a hotbox even just mining I can't imagine gaming on this thing. I also have 2 3070 rigs and another 3080 rig. They get no where as hot as these asus with only one exhaust fan and no intake fans. Any way I called Best Buy told them I wanted to return it and they gave me 10 percent off so I kept it and
Ordered a new case and fans for it. But please don't buy this thinking you won't need a better cooling solution especially if you're planning on gaming with it.

These case are good looking but dump them for aftermarket case and maybe psu if you can swing it though as well as cpu cooler, fans etc. I did that and sold the case and never look back.

This is the case I put mine into. It turned out great and didn't cost me a penny because I got 10 percent off from Best Buy not to return this computer because of it over heating when I bought the case Amazon had it on sale with. 10 percent coupon off it to. And yes the 3080 fits just fine in it with plenty of room.
