Also, the GX is a pain in the ass to mount -- as much due to lack of visibility and a small target to hit in the proprietary mount. When I mounted my CX using my own wall mount, it was a breeze.
In a nutshell, if you plan on using a stand, get the CX (no sense in paying a premium and then have to buy a stand / legs). And if you're wall mounting, unless you must have little to no wall gap, the CX is probably preferred as well (lighter, easier to mount, cheaper).

There's a story to this.
I saw the clearance price for $809 just above 3 65" A1 OLEDs, which implies to me that the A1's on sale. At counter, these rang up to $1599 each and the sales rep said the item number doesn't match. I requested to talk with store manager and since the clearance tag read the same I had price matched. I was lucky enough. That's why I'm not sure which model was on sale as I couldn't get a picture of price tag.

(If you didn't know, the G indicates the series, the X represents "10" -- as in 2020 -- whereas the "1" represents 2021).
The CX -- and along those lines the C1 -- has the same processor, etc. as their G series counterparts from everything I've heard.
EDIT: the reason the G series was so hard to mount is because they include a proprietary mount that you have to attach to the wall FIRST and then (somewhat blindly) try to drop the TV's "bolts" on the back into two narrow slots in said wall mount. Since you can't see what you're doing from the front (TV is in the way) and can't see what you're doing from the sides (since the gap is relatively small -- even before you collapse the wall mount), it's hard to see if you're "over the target" or not.
With the C series, I used a wall mount that I've had for years. The mount itself is permanently affixed to the wall studs and it has a notch in which a bar rests. The bar is connected to two vertical brackets that you bolt to the back of the TV. Then you pick the TV up and just drop the bar into the notches. YMMV based on the wall mount you use, but we mounted the CX in like five seconds / first pass versus the GX took multiple attempts / got nervous we'd drop it. It's much heavier and harder to hit the target that you can't see. Now, I could have purchased a third party wall mount for the GX as well, but then I paid a premium for the "gapless" look and didn't even take advantage of it.

Again, can you please share the model of the TV you purchased. I get that you're trying to help, but the lack of information is useless in these threads.

A1 at 809.
Since I have an A/V "table" underneath where the TV is, putting a chair right under the TV wouldn't have worked. Even if I cleared that out, the TV mounted so close to our basement/man cave drop ceiling, there'd be little to no clearance for her to get her head in between the ceiling and the TV (assuming she was even tall enough).
for 2k come back?!
