Also, the GX is a pain in the ass to mount -- as much due to lack of visibility and a small target to hit in the proprietary mount. When I mounted my CX using my own wall mount, it was a breeze.
In a nutshell, if you plan on using a stand, get the CX (no sense in paying a premium and then have to buy a stand / legs). And if you're wall mounting, unless you must have little to no wall gap, the CX is probably preferred as well (lighter, easier to mount, cheaper).

GX/G1 have regular VESA holes as well. I have the 77" and elected to use my full motion mount instead of the included proprietary flush mount bracket and it's works just fine. IMO it's better that the mounting position is centered whereas the CX and most other OLED TVs have VESA holes offset towards the bottom, which may necessitate repositioning an existing wall mount.
In a nutshell, the GX/G1 is marginally better than the CX/C1. If price is the same, go for the GX/G1. Factoring in price, pick the one that better fits your use case.
And if you're suggesting that I didn't say you could VESA mount the GX/G1, you're mistaken. In fact, I even went as far as to say I could have done exactly that with my GX, but it would have ruined the selling point of the TV.

To be fair, these are your words:

To someone who didn't know any better, you made it sound like it using the proprietary mount was the only option for the GX. All I'm doing is providing additional clarification. 🤷

Yep exactly ideally you want 3 people for the exact reasons you stated I just mounted a 65" GX a couple months ago and had a third person on a small step ladder looking over the top and slowly waving us from left to right until we were lined up just right was actually pretty easy that way albeit not as easy as mounting a C series with a generic wall mount but still not bad.

You okay?
Hard to say if it's worth $1000 more than the CX65, that's a big jump. The warranty makes it tempting, though.
So they never had any on clearance and you got lucky on a price match on a mislabeled item? Never post again.

I am starting to question the price match part as i have yet to see a receipt. I asked the poster twice to post it on imgur & share link but always deflects the question.
They had some other model 65OLED on clearance. Below the price tag where they hold the TV's they had A1s. So I was price matched-
Yep. My intention was to let people know that Sams had some older model 65OLED on clearance for 809, if they can hunt it down since I couldn't get the picture of the clearance tag. If someone is really serious to buy one at that price, they wouldn't question here but drive down to see if a store near them has one on clearance.

I believe the GX has a glass screen whereas the CX is a type of plastic which would account for the increased weight. GX is supposed to also have the "Gallery" mode for art and pictures similar to the Samsung "The Frame". Please correct anyone here if im wrong

If you see numbers, logos, shapes, etc., that means you've got some serious image retention or burn-in.
(If you didn't know, the G indicates the series, the X represents "10" -- as in 2020 -- whereas the "1" represents 2021).
The CX -- and along those lines the C1 -- has the same processor, etc. as their G series counterparts from everything I've heard.
EDIT: the reason the G series was so hard to mount is because they include a proprietary mount that you have to attach to the wall FIRST and then (somewhat blindly) try to drop the TV's "bolts" on the back into two narrow slots in said wall mount. Since you can't see what you're doing from the front (TV is in the way) and can't see what you're doing from the sides (since the gap is relatively small -- even before you collapse the wall mount), it's hard to see if you're "over the target" or not.
With the C series, I used a wall mount that I've had for years. The mount itself is permanently affixed to the wall studs and it has a notch in which a bar rests. The bar is connected to two vertical brackets that you bolt to the back of the TV. Then you pick the TV up and just drop the bar into the notches. YMMV based on the wall mount you use, but we mounted the CX in like five seconds / first pass versus the GX took multiple attempts / got nervous we'd drop it. It's much heavier and harder to hit the target that you can't see. Now, I could have purchased a third party wall mount for the GX as well, but then I paid a premium for the "gapless" look and didn't even take advantage of it.
